Jenny Kellog is an Associate Professor and Director of Jazz and Trombone Studies at Eastern Washington University, where she teaches trombone and directs the top jazz ensemble. She is actively engaged in performance, composition, and music education, with a strong presence in the jazz community across the U.S. and Canada.

Her research and professional interests focus on jazz studies, trombone performance, and composition for educational jazz ensembles. She regularly composes for high school and college-level jazz groups and is a sought-after guest artist and clinician.
Jenny has performed internationally in China, England, Italy, and Peru, and has held significant roles in renowned ensembles such as the Grammy-nominated One O’Clock Lab Band, where she served as solo trombone from 2011 to 2013. Her recordings appear on the 'Lab 2012' and 'Lab 2013' albums.
Her notable recognitions include participation in elite programs such as Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead Residency at the Kennedy Center and the Stean’s Summer Music Institute at Ravinia. She was also selected as lead trombone for the Disneyland Resort All-American College Band.
She holds a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance and Music Composition from the University of Idaho, a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Kentucky. She performs regularly with the Spokane Jazz Orchestra, Brassworks Northwest, Son Dulce Live Salsa, and as a substitute with the Spokane Symphony Orchestra.
Jenny plays a vital role in jazz education and ensemble leadership, contributing significantly to the development of student musicians through performance, mentorship, and curriculum design.
