Jenny Hou

Jenny Hou is Associate Professor and Study Area Coordinator for Professional Communication at QUT. Her research develops innovative frameworks for crisis communication, including transmedia storytelling strategies for disaster resilience and culturally inclusive community engagement. She holds a PhD in Strategic Public Relations from the University of Queensland.

Hou's externally funded projects include Australian Government CRC grants analyzing social media's role in food waste reduction and NSW Government collaborations on international student welfare. She edits 'The Global Foundations of Public Relations' (Routledge) and serves on ICA/IAMCR committees. Recognitions include the World Public Relations Forum Best Presentation Award and Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
