Jenny Gallagher is Professor Newland Pedley Professor of Oral Health Strategy at King's College London, based in the Centre for Host Microbiome Interactions. With over two decades of academic leadership, she has established herself as a leading authority in dental public health, workforce strategy, and global oral health systems.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Queen's University Belfast (1984), Master of Science from King's College London (1993), and PhD from King's College London (2002). She has held significant leadership positions including President of the Odontological Society of The Royal Society of Medicine (2013-14) and Past President of The British Association for the Study of Community Dentistry (2012-13).
Professor Gallagher's research focuses on dental workforce organization, skill mix, professionalism, and modernizing dental service delivery.
