Assoc. Professor Jenny Atchison is an Associate Professor and Future Fellow in Geography and Sustainability at the University of Wollongong. She holds affiliations within the Faculty of the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, leading research on human-nature relationships and environmental change. Her work bridges disciplines, emphasizing nonhuman agency and sustainability in the face of rapid environmental shifts.
Education: PhD (2000), BEnvSc Hons (1994), both from the University of Wollongong.
Research Interests: Focused on invasive species management, more-than-human geographies, and ethical responses to environmental challenges. She explores how plants and other nonhumans shape human societies, particularly in urban and coastal contexts.
