Jennifer Whitford is a Lecturer at Augusta University, affiliated with the Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (Department of Psychological Sciences) and the Medical College of Georgia (Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior). She holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia (2006), an MS in Psychology from Augusta State University (2001), and a BA in Psychology (1993) and AAS in Criminal Justice/Police Science (1993) from Augusta State University.
Her research interests focus on Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis on Substance Abuse and Health Behavior. Her work explores the intersection of clinical psychology and behavioral sciences, particularly through comparative studies of self-reported drinking behaviors versus objective markers of alcohol consumption.
The only article available, Self-report of drinking compared to objective markers of alcohol consumption (2009), highlights her engagement with topics in addiction studies and psychological assessment. Her professional credentials include certification from the GA Professional Licensing Board (2007).
Whitford teaches advanced courses in her field, including PSYC 6149: Career Counseling and PSYC 6147: Seminar in Group Process.
