Prof. Dr. Jennifer Pédussel Wu is a Professor of Economics at the Berlin School of Economics and Law since 2008. She previously served as Professor at EDC-Paris (Ecole des Dirigeants et Créateurs d'Entreprises) and as Assistant Professor at the American University of Paris. Her affiliations include the LEN Research Center at the University of Nantes and the Center for European Integration Studies (ZEI) in Bonn, where she was a Senior Fellow.
- Education: Bachelor in Economics from Oberlin College (Ohio), Master in Mathematical Behavior Science, and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Irvine.
Research Interests focus on international trade, regional integration, and production factors like gender and immigration. Her work explores how foreign direct investment (FDI) affects economic development, the role of digital remittances in financial inclusion, and the interplay between migration and trade dynamics.
Notable Publications include empirical analyses of FDI in Colombia, studies on Chinese port investments' trade impacts, and theoretical frameworks linking trade agreements to self-protection mechanisms. Her research spans econometrics, policy evaluation, and gender economics.
