Dr. Jennifer Lundine is an Associate Professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at The Ohio State University, serving as MA-SLP Oversight Committee Chair and director of the Childhood Cognition, Communication, and Brain Injury Lab (CABI Lab). She holds affiliations with Nationwide Children’s Hospital as a clinical researcher. Her expertise spans pediatric neurogenics, cognitive-communication disorders post-TBI, and return-to-school strategies.
Education: B.A. (1998), M.A. (2000), and Ph.D. (2016) in Speech and Hearing Science from The Ohio State University. Post-doctoral roles included Director of Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Program.
Research focuses on improving access to services for children with acquired brain injury (ABI), care coordination challenges, and home safety interventions. She emphasizes translational research bridging clinical care and educational systems. Recent work explores disparities in rural healthcare access and virtual reality-based rehabilitation tools.
Her 2022 Outstanding Teacher Award reflects dedication to pedagogy in cognitive-communication disorders and pediatric medical speech-language pathology. Current projects include the School Transition After Traumatic Brain Injury (STATBI) initiative and development of VR home safety training programs.
Key collaborations include the National Alliance for Secondary Education and Transition (NASET) and the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Grant support comes from federal agencies (NICHD, NINDS) and foundations like the Ohio Department of Health.
