Jennifer Lucero

Jennifer Lucero is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), affiliated with the David Geffen School of Medicine. She serves as the Associate Dean for Admissions and Vice Chair for Inclusive Excellence in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. Her clinical expertise lies in Obstetric Anesthesia, with dual appointments in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Her scientific awards include the NIH T-32 Research Fellowship. She has received grants such as the HRSA UCLA-DGSOM Center of Excellence-Underrepresented in Medicine grant, where she works as a Co-PI.

As a Chicana physician, Dr. Lucero advocates for addressing systemic disparities in obstetric care for women of color and promotes equitable practices in medical education and admissions.
