Jennifer Love is an Associate Teaching Professor and Associate Director of the Michael B. Silevitch and Claire J. Duggan Center for STEM Education at Northeastern University's College of Engineering. She holds a EdD (2022) from Northeastern University, an MS in Biomedical Engineering (1997) from the University of Iowa, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering (1993) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Her research focuses on preK-20 engineering education, STEAM integration, makerspaces, and teacher professional development. She has led initiatives like the stEm PEER Academy to promote equity in engineering education for women and underrepresented groups. Notable awards include the 2018 Outstanding Teachers of First Year Engineering Award and recognition for innovative use of technology in teaching.
Dr. Love teaches courses in engineering design, problem-solving, and career management at Northeastern. She has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications on STEM education, including work on pandemic impacts on elementary education and community college research programs. She also advises student organizations like COExist and collaborates on NSF-funded projects like the REU PATHWAYS program.
Her professional activities include leadership roles in the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) and contributions to national initiatives such as Engineering for US All (e4usa). She actively engages in K-12 outreach, field trips, and curriculum development to broaden participation in STEM.
