Jennifer Jackson is an Associate Professor of English and holds the Svend and Elizabeth Bramsen Professorship in the Humanities at North Central College. She also serves as Co-Director of the College Scholars Honors Program. Her academic background includes a B.A. and M.A. from Miami University, Ohio (1979, 1985), and a Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1992).
- Research Interests: Writing and rhetoric for publics, contemporary literature, cultural theory (materialist/gendered/environmental), posthumanism, and the anthropocene condition.
- Courses Taught: CARD 200 Transfer Seminar, ENGL 404 History of the Novel, ENGL 492 Senior Capstone Seminar.
Her work bridges literary analysis with interdisciplinary themes such as environmental humanities and gender studies, reflecting a commitment to public-facing scholarship and undergraduate education.
