Jennifer Esposito is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Educational Policy Studies at Georgia State University’s College of Education & Human Development. Her research focuses on how race, class, gender, and sexuality intersect to shape educational experiences and how marginalized groups are represented in popular culture.
- Current research methodologies: discourse analysis, media analysis, autoethnography, and intersectional frameworks
- Authored 40+ articles and two books, including the award-winning Intersectional Analysis of Popular Culture Texts
- Recipient of the George M. Sparks Award (2019) and JEDI Award (2020) for academic service and inclusivity
Her work has appeared in journals such as Qualitative Inquiry, Urban Education, and International Review of Qualitative Research. She mentors students through a multi-level advising group and has chaired 20 doctoral dissertations.
