معرفی
Dr. Jennifer Cooling is a Research Fellow at the School of the Environment, The University of Queensland. Her work focuses on palynology, stratigraphy, and sedimentary geology, particularly in the context of the Jurassic-Cretaceous transition, Cretaceous formations in Australia, and Cenozoic deposits. She has contributed to studies in the Surat Basin, Bowen Basin, and Suttor Formation, integrating palynological data with geochronological techniques like U-Pb and zircon dating.
Her research highlights include Bayesian age models for stratigraphic correlation, origins of clay-rich strata in paleochannel systems, and palynostratigraphic analysis of coal measures. Collaborative projects with institutions like Geoscience Australia have advanced understanding of Australia’s geological history, as seen in her contributions to the Great Artesian Basin palynological review.
Publications span peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Gondwana Research, Australian Journal of Earth Sciences), conference presentations, and research reports. Her PhD (2020) from the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at UQ formed the foundation of her current research trajectory.
