Jennifer Amos

Dr. Jennifer Amos is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Grainger College of Engineering. She holds leadership roles including Director of the MEng Program (since 2020), Dean's Fellow for Professional Development (since 2023), and Interim Associate Head for Biomedical and Translational Sciences at Carle Illinois College of Medicine (2023-2024).

Her research focuses on:

• Engineering education pedagogy and program-level assessment
• Medical education for trainees and physicians
• K-12 teacher development and STEM outreach
• Integration of professional skills in curricula

She leads the Amos Research Lab which investigates evidence-based education changes and assessment methodologies.

She mentors students through the Engineering Ambassadors program and oversees undergraduate/graduate research in her lab.
