Jelle van Dijk

Jelle van Dijk is an Associate Professor at the Human Centered Design department of the University of Twente. His work bridges philosophy, cognitive science, and technology design, focusing on neurodiversity, ethics, and human empowerment through participatory methods.

• Expertise in Embodied Cognition, Enactivism, and Assistive Technology
• Active in Human-Robot Interaction and Artificial Intelligence Ethics
• Develops design tools for Autism Spectrum Disorder and Self-Compassion interventions

Scientific awards include the Best Paper Award at TEI 2014, Lasting Impact Award at TEI'15 (2025), RAAK Award 2024, and the Best Paper Award of the 10th International Conference on Design, User Experience and Usability (2021).
