Jelena Krpić is a Lecturer at Alfa BK University, affiliated with the Faculty of Finance, Banking and Auditing. She holds a PhD in Economic Sciences from the Faculty of Finance, Banking, and Auditing at Alfa BK University (2021), a Master's in Economic Sciences from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade (1998), and a Bachelor's in Economics from the same institution (1992). Her professional experience spans over three decades, including roles in accounting and finance sectors (1992-2007) and as an authorized licensed auditor since 2007.
Her research focuses on financial reporting standards, risk management strategies, and sustainability disclosures. Key areas include the application of IPSAS in governmental accounting, materiality concepts in financial statements, and commodity risk mitigation for metal and mining companies. She has also explored professional judgment in IFRS compliance and climate risk disclosure practices.
Her work bridges academic research with practical applications, particularly in mining and metal industries. Notable contributions include studies on hedging techniques, foreign currency risk management, and the role of financial statements in corporate decision-making processes.
