Jeffrey Tripp

Jeffrey Tripp is an Instructor in the Department of American Studies at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. As a Core Faculty member, he focuses on U.S.-East Asia Relations, American Empire, and Historic Preservation. He has served as Interim Director of the Historic Preservation Graduate Certificate Program (2020-2022) and directs the Semester in Hawai‘i program for undergraduates.

His research explores the U.S. political and military role globally, particularly in East Asia, and Historic Preservation in the Asia-Pacific region.
