Jeffrey Selinger

Jeffrey Selinger is an Associate Professor of Government at Bowdoin College, specializing in American politics with a focus on political parties, race, public policy, and American political development. He holds a PhD and MA from Cornell University and a BA from Rutgers University.

His research explores topics like political violence's impact on party development, presidential decision-making in early U.S. history, and the evolution of legitimate opposition in American politics.
