Jeffrey Schwartz, MD, is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Program Director Emeritus of the Anesthesiology Residency Program at Yale School of Medicine. He completed his medical degree at SUNY Downstate Medical Center (1985) and residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. He joined Yale in 1989 as Assistant Professor, advancing to his current rank. His roles included Director of Medical Student Education (17 years), Director of Continuous Quality Improvement/Morbidity & Mortality (12 years), and Program Director of the residency program (13 years), mentoring nearly 300 residents.
