Jeffrey S. Cole is a faculty member and Chair of the Core Studies Department at Geneva College, where he teaches courses in American History, Humanities, and Social Studies Methods. He holds a Ph.D. in History from Bowling Green State University and has been recognized for excellence in teaching and scholarship.

Dr. Cole's research focuses on American history, particularly the Great Depression, transiency, New Deal policies, historical memory, and U.S. foreign policy. His work integrates humanities with cultural studies, especially through his academic excursions to Italy. He has published on topics ranging from local Virginia history to national policy and student affairs in higher education.
The most recent publications highlight his engagement with historical memory, educational practices, and the social impact of the Great Depression. His scholarship spans cultural history, public policy, and pedagogy, reflecting a deep commitment to both historical inquiry and teaching excellence.

He is affiliated with the American Historical Association and was an invited teacher at Sekolah Pelita Harapan in Jakarta, Indonesia (2023). Dr. Cole regularly leads academic excursions to Rome, Florence, and Venice, enriching student learning through immersive cultural experiences.
