Jeffrey P. Shay is the Rupert A. Johnson, Jr. Professor of Entrepreneurship and Leadership at Washington and Lee University’s Williams School. Previously, he held the Poe Professorship of Entrepreneurship at the University of Montana for a decade. His academic journey includes teaching at institutions like the London School of Economics, Peking University, and Cornell University. Shay specializes in strategic management, cross-cultural management, and international business, with a focus on leadership and organizational behavior.
He holds a B.S. from Babson College, an M.B.A. from Babson School of Business, and a Ph.D. from Cornell University. His research has been published in prestigious journals such as Academy of Management Journal and Journal of International Business Studies, and he has received recognition for both teaching and service.
Shay is a sought-after speaker, presenting at organizations like the Swedish Trade Council and Four Seasons Hotels. His contributions to case research earned him NACRA Fellow status, a rare honor in its 57-year history.
