Jeffrey Brewer is an Assistant Professor-Educator in the Department of Geography & GIS at the University of Cincinnati, College of Arts and Sciences. His work bridges human-environment relations, urban landscape evolution, and sustainability, with a focus on sustainable water management in subtropical regions and cultural geographies of food and sport.

Dr. Brewer employs interdisciplinary methods, including GIS and fieldwork, to study ancient Maya water management systems and modern geospatial dynamics of craft breweries and urban cycling networks. His recent publications highlight the role of household-scale reservoirs and environmental sustainability in the Maya lowlands.
Dr. Brewer has served as Director of the Online M.S. in GIS Program and Vice President of the UC College of A&S Undergraduate Council. He has secured grants from the National Science Foundation and UC's Faculty Development Fund to support fieldwork at Yaxnohcah, Mexico.
