Jeffery Harder is an Associate Professor at Loyola University Chicago's School of Communication, where he has taught for over 20 years. He developed core courses including Film Genre Analysis, Radio Production, and Video Production, and currently teaches Topics in Film History, Film Production, Directing for the Screen, and Digital Cinema Production.
His educational background includes:

Harder's research centers on documentary filmmaking and media production, with over 18 directed works. Notable projects include the award-screened documentary A College of Their Own: A History of Higher Education for Women in the United States (focusing on Mundelein College), the Soviet Veterans Video and Oral History Project, and co-edited works like The Gold Apple: War and Democracy in Croatia and Bosnia. He is currently producing Motorcycle Cultures, a Midwest motorcycle culture documentary series.
He received a University of Wisconsin grant for the Soviet Veterans project and co-authored Imagining A Croatian Nation in the East European Quarterly. Internationally, he co-founded the Jajce Media Project in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 2007 to teach video production to local youth.
