Jeff Sparrow

Jeff Sparrow is a Senior Lecturer in Journalism at the Centre for Advancing Journalism within the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne. With a PhD from RMIT University, he brings extensive practical experience to academia as a Walkley award-winning journalist, former columnist for Guardian Australia, former Breakfaster at radio station 3RRR, and past editor of the Overland literary journal.

His research interests span journalism, politics, history, and culture with particular focus on extremism, Marxism, capitalism, and global heating.
