Jeff Rydberg-Cox is a Curators' Distinguished Professor in the Department of English at the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC), School of Humanities and Social Sciences. He serves as Director of the Classical and Ancient Studies program and Co-Director of the UMKC Center for Digital and Public Humanities.
Research Interests: His research spans Classical and Ancient Studies and Digital Humanities, with a focus on statistical analysis of Ancient Greek texts, application of network analysis to literary works, and using Artificial Intelligence to study manuscripts and early printed books. He integrates computational methods into humanistic inquiry, advancing digital scholarship in classics.
Publications & Projects: Notable digital projects include an online tutorial for Ancient Greek and a visual explorer tool applying social network analysis to Greek tragedy. These tools demonstrate interdisciplinary innovation in pedagogy and literary analysis.
