Jeff Mundee is an Instructor in the Culture and Media Studies Department at the University of New Brunswick (UNB), within the Faculty of Arts. He specializes in teaching Game Design, Game Studies, and 3D Production for the Media Arts and Cultures program. With over 15 years of industry experience, he has worked on major titles like FIFA, Dragon Age, and Dead Space at companies such as EA Games and Activision. He transitioned to academia while maintaining roles in research and consultancy.
Jeff is an Instructional Technology Specialist at UNB's Center for Enhanced Teaching and Learning, managing the D2L Brightspace platform. He leads UNB's Extended Reality (XR) Association and co-founded the Significant Play and Research in Games (Sprig) Lab and The Games and Culture Research Group. His work focuses on applying XR, gamification, and serious games to address societal challenges and enhance education.
He collaborates with UNB's HCI Lab and teaches open-access courses through the College of Extended Learning. His research bridges game theory, digital production, and educational technology, emphasizing experiential learning and industry-relevant curricula.
