Jeff Loughary is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Languages, Cultures, and Religions at Missouri State University, affiliated with the Reynolds College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities. He holds a BA in French and Spanish (2003), an MA in Teaching (2006), and an MS in English Language Teaching and Literacy Instruction (2023), and is a doctoral candidate in Composition and Applied Linguistics (Indiana University of Pennsylvania). He has taught since 2005, with Missouri teaching endorsements in K-12 French, Spanish, and English Learners.

Professional roles include FLAM President-Elect (2021–2023) and consultant for the Show Me Multiliteracy Project.
