Jeff Liebner

Jeff Liebner serves as an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Lafayette College, where he has been a faculty member since 2007. Initially joining as a Visiting Professor for four years, he was appointed Assistant Professor in 2011 and later promoted to his current rank. Liebner also serves as a faculty mentor for the Lafayette football program, demonstrating cross-disciplinary engagement with students.

Liebner developed Lafayette's annual cryptography competition, merging cipher puzzles with scavenger hunts to create unique experiential learning opportunities.

Academically, Liebner significantly expanded the department's offerings by establishing the statistics concentration and introducing advanced courses including Bayesian statistics and time series analysis.
