Jeff Allred is an Associate Professor of English at Hunter College, where he has taught since 2005, and an Associate Professor of Digital Humanities at the CUNY Graduate Center since 2018. His academic work bridges American literature, modernism, and digital humanities, with a focus on documentary practices and cultural pedagogy.

His most recent articles and book chapters analyze themes like racial representation in Faulkner’s works, the documentary mode in literature, and the use of annotation technologies in education. Current projects include a manuscript on modernism and pedagogy titled ABCs of Modernism.
