Dr. Jedrin Ngungu serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Western University's Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, concurrently working as a psychiatrist for London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) at Victoria Hospital. His clinical focus spans inpatient psychiatric care and emergency psychiatric services within the Centralized Emergency Psychiatric Service.
His educational journey commenced with an MB.ChB. medical degree from the University of Zambia, followed by General Psychiatry residency training at the East of England Deanery (UK). He further specialized through a Fellowship in Rehabilitation Psychiatry and earned a Master's in Clinical Education from East Anglia University, subsequently achieving Fellow status with the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
Dr. Ngungu's primary research and clinical interests center on medical education methodologies, psychotic disorders management, emergency psychiatry protocols, and electroconvulsive therapy applications. His work bridges clinical practice with educational innovation in psychiatric training.
