Jeannette M. Beasley

Jeannette M. Beasley is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Nutrition and Food Studies and Medicine at New York University. She holds a BS in Biology from the College of William and Mary, an MPH in Nutrition from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and a PhD in Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her research focuses on nutrition's role in chronic disease prevention, particularly cardiovascular disease in diverse populations and protein needs for older adults. She has authored over 75 peer-reviewed publications and eight books or chapters, with funding from NIH, CDC, and private foundations.
