Jeanette K. Miller

Jeanette K. Miller is an Associate Clinical Professor at the Smeal College of Business, The Pennsylvania State University. She serves as Director of the Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIENT) major and Associate Director of the Farrell Center for Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship. She advises Happy Valley Capital, a student venture capital organization. Her expertise spans new venture creation, social entrepreneurship, and impact investing.

Education: DBA in Business Administration (Georgia State University, 2012), MA in International Business (Webster University, 1993), BA in Economics (University of Texas at Austin, 1990).

Research focuses on measuring impact of social enterprises and new venture creation. Teaches courses like Entrepreneurial Opportunity Creation, Managing a Startup, and New Venture Creation. Editorial board member of Engaged Management Review since 2018.

Media engagements include commentary on student startups, entrepreneurship education rankings, and local business innovations. Previously worked in emerging markets with the U.S. Government and multinational firms.
