Jeanette Abbink

Jeanette Abbink is a Lecturer in Design at the University of Texas at Austin. She operates the studio Rational Beauty, specializing in award-winning editorial and book design. Her professional portfolio includes work for Dwell, American Craft, and publishers like Aperture and Rizzoli. She co-authored and designed the seminal book 3-D Typography (2010), which explores tactile typographic innovation.

Her teaching includes publication design at Parsons School of Design. Recent projects span from Melissa O’Shaughnessy’s street photography book Perfect Strangers (Aperture 2019) to Cig Harvey’s Blue Violet (Monacelli 2021).
