معرفی
Dr. Jean-Yves Roignant is an Associate Professor at the Center for Integrative Genomics within the Faculty of Biology and Medicine at the University of Lausanne (UNIL). His research focuses on the role of RNA modifications in regulating gene expression during animal development and behavior. He previously led an independent group at the Institute of Molecular Biology in Mainz (2012-2019) and conducted postdoctoral work at NYU Langone Medical Center.
- Education: PhD in Biology (2003) from University of Paris Diderot.
Research Interests:
RNA modifications and epitranscriptomics are central to his work, as they explore dynamic post-transcriptional regulation mechanisms analogous to DNA epigenetics. His lab employs Drosophila melanogaster to investigate three axes: mapping RNA modifications, elucidating their functions, and understanding their evolutionary roles in disease.
Publications reflect expertise in m6A methylation, RNA-binding proteins, and developmental gene regulation. Notable collaborations include work on mRNA stabilization and axonal growth.
