Jean Pierre Casey

Prof. Jean Pierre Casey is a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe since 2010, teaching "Marchés financiers européens: structure, fonctionnement et réglementation" within the European Economic Studies Department. He is also the Founder and CEO of RegHedge, a firm leveraging Fintech, Regtech, and Legaltech to derive investment signals from policy events. Previously, he held senior investment roles at global banks including JP Morgan, Edmond de Rothschild, and Barclays, overseeing multi-billion-euro assets and regulatory compliance projects. He has served on executive committees for asset management and private banking, and advised regulatory bodies like ESMA, the European Commission, and the SEC. His expertise spans financial regulation, investment strategies, and ethical finance.

Prof. Casey’s career includes roles as Head of Regulatory Policy at Barclays Wealth, Head of Research at the European Capital Markets Institute (ECMI), and a Partner in a multi-family office. He has published two books on financial regulation, multiple academic papers, and contributed opinion pieces to the Financial Times and The Economist. He currently also holds an Assistant Professorship at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, focusing on ethical finance.

He is an Executive Trustee of the Voluntary Solidarity Fund UK, supporting marginalized communities. His professional network spans regulatory authorities, global banks, and think tanks, reflecting a career blending academia, finance, and public policy.
