Jean-Philippe Rolin is a Lecturer (Maître de Conférences) with HDR qualification at the Institute of Mathematics of Burgundy (IMB), part of the University of Burgundy. He is affiliated with the Geometry, Algebra, Dynamics and Topology research team and works in the Mathematics Department located in the Mirande Science Building.
His research focuses on advanced mathematical areas including:
- Analytic geometry and o-minimal structures
- Resolution of singularities
- Singularities of differential equations
- Integration of log-exp-analytic functions
- Fractal analysis of trajectories of dynamical systems
His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on the intersection of analysis, geometry, and dynamical systems, examining singularities, fractal properties, and asymptotic behavior in complex mathematical structures. His work involves collaborations with researchers across Europe, particularly in Italy and Croatia.
Dr. Rolin teaches various mathematics courses including:
- Differential Calculus for L3 Mathematics
- Integral Calculus for L3 Mathematics
- Statistics for L2 Psychology
- Math1A Analysis for L1
He maintains an active research profile with publications in prestigious mathematics journals and multiple preprints in preparation, contributing significantly to the Geometry, Algebra, Dynamics and Topology team at IMB.
