Jean Marie Pagani is an Associate Professor of Optometry and Interim Associate Dean at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now part of Drexel University). She holds tenured faculty status and oversees multiple academic programs including the Traineeship Program, Internship Program, and Clinical Medicine Course. Her clinical expertise focuses on primary care optometry and ocular medicine, with specialization in systemic disease correlations.
Education: BS from Villanova University, OD from Pennsylvania College of Optometry, postgraduate training in Radiation Hazards at Rutgers, and a primary care optometry residency at The Eye Institute.
Research interests emphasize ocular manifestations of systemic diseases, presbyopia, and clinical optometry standards. She leads a presbyopia symptom study at The Eye Institute and has presented nationally/internationally on topics like ocular manifestations in pregnancy and idiopathic keratitis.
Awards: Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry with certifications in Fluorescein Angiography and therapeutic injections. Professional roles include Editor for Medscape Optometry Clinical Case Series and clinical teaching at Salus University/Arcadia University.
