Jean-Marie Halleux is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Sciences, Department of Geography, University of Liège. He leads the Economic Geography Service (ECOGEO) and contributes to research and education in territorial development and urban studies.

His research focuses on Territorial Planning, Urban Geography, and Economic Geography, addressing contemporary challenges in land markets, urban mobility, and regional development. He has been recognized with nominations and awards from APERAU, an international association for spatial planning and urbanism.
