Jean-Francois Chamberland is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University and serves as Associate Dean for Faculty Success in the College of Engineering. His academic roles include leadership in faculty development and interdisciplinary collaboration. He holds the Albers Family Endowed Faculty Fellowship and has administrative offices in the Zachry Engineering Education Complex and academic office in WEB 301RA.
Dr. Chamberland earned a B.Eng. from McGill University (1998), M.S. from Cornell University (2000), and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2004). His research focuses on information theory, statistical inference, and their applications to communication systems, autonomous systems, and smart infrastructures. Notable contributions include work on unsourced multiple access, wireless networks, and machine learning integration in communications.
His work has been recognized with awards including the NSF CAREER Award and IEEE Best Paper Awards.
