معرفی
Jazmine Humphreys is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Plant Physiology at the University of Tasmania's School of Natural Sciences, affiliated with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Plant Success. Her research focuses on plant hormone signaling (especially strigolactone), chromatin dynamics, and environmental stress responses. She holds a PhD from The University of Queensland (2021) and a BSc from Cardiff University (2015).
Research Interests:
- Strigolactone signaling pathways and hormonal crosstalk
- Chromatin remodeling in stress responses
- Genetic networks controlling plant growth/dormancy cycles
- Water deficit effects on plant physiology
Collaborations:
- ARC Centre of Excellence for Plant Success (Australia)
- Working with Prof. Steven Smith (UTAS) and former advisors Prof. Miloš Tanurdžić (UQ) and Prof. Christine Beveridge (UQ)
Current Projects: Investigating how plants reprogram genetic networks during water stress and rehydration, and hormonal regulation of growth arrest mechanisms.
Supervision:
- Co-supervising doctoral projects on plant plasticity under climate stress (2025) and environmental control of bud growth/dormancy (2022)
