Jayne Wallace is a Professor of Craft, Digital Creativity, and Wellbeing at Northumbria University's School of Design. She leads the CoCreate research community, focusing on design, technology, and participation in human contexts. Her work includes EPSRC-funded projects like Enabling Ongoingness and the EU Marie Curie OpenDoTT initiative. Wallace co-founded the Journal of Jewellery Research and the Research Through Design conference series, emphasizing craft ethos and IoT ethics. Her research spans digital creativity, wellbeing, and participatory design, addressing dementia care, citizenship, and technology's societal impact.
Education: PhD in Design Studies (2007). Notable collaborations include work with Beamish Museum on pottery and wellbeing, and projects like Centring and Connected Craft. She actively organizes workshops on ethical internet practices and co-creation methods.
