Jayne Stuart

Ms Jayne Stuart serves as Clinical Teaching Fellow and Vertical Theme Lead for Service Learning within the School of Medicine at the University of St Andrews, where she integrates community engagement into medical curricula to address systemic health inequities and develop future healthcare change agents.

Her educational foundation includes a Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice (2024, University of St Andrews), Master of Business Administration (2019, Heriot-Watt University), Postgraduate Diploma in Community Education (1998, University of Dundee), and dual Architecture degrees (MArch 1995, BArch 1992, University of Dundee).

Stuart's research centers on community-driven medical education models that bridge healthcare gaps through service learning, with particular emphasis on rural health capacity building and leadership development. Her work examines how medical students can become 'Agents of Change' to transform healthcare systems, while analyzing pandemic impacts on community health infrastructure and professional burnout.
