Jason Weaver is a Professor of Chemical Engineering and an Affiliate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Florida, with additional affiliation as a LINXS Fellow in the New Materials Working Group 4 (Catalysis) at the LINXS Community.
He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University in 1998.
His research develops molecular-level understanding of surface chemical reactions using ultrahigh vacuum, in situ surface analysis, and molecular simulations. He pioneered methods for studying reactivity of well-defined sites on late transition metal oxides, discovering exceptional structural sensitivity in light alkane reactivity with implications for catalytic conversion processes.
