Jason Sparrow

Jason Sparrow serves as an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Computer Science & Computer Information Technology at Methodist University's College of Business, Technology & Professional Studies.

His educational background includes:

• B.S. in Computer Information Technology (Concentration: Interactive Multimedia Application Development) from Methodist University, class of 2017
• M.S. in Information Technology (Concentration: IT Management and Cybersecurity) from Southern New Hampshire University

Jason's primary research and professional focus centers on Cybersecurity, leveraging his role as IT Security Administrator for the City of Fayetteville where he ensures data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. His expertise extends to Information Technology Management and Interactive Multimedia Development, supported by certifications including ITIL V4 Foundation, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security+.

During his undergraduate studies, Jason held significant leadership positions including SGA President, Vice President, Resident Assistant, Leadership Fellow, and Polemarch of the Rho Zeta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Outside academia, he actively participates in community volunteering, male mentorship initiatives, freelance photography, and fitness activities.
