Jason Satterfield is a Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. He holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from MIT. He served as the Academy Endowed Chair for Innovation in Teaching (2018–2023) and is Director of Behavioral Medicine at UCSF. His work integrates behavioral science into medical education and primary care, with a focus on substance use disorders, tobacco cessation, chronic pain, and digital health innovations.
