Jason Papademetriou is a Research Faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Boston University. He holds a B.A. in Physics and an M.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular/Cell Biology from Georgetown University, followed by a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. His PhD research, under Dr. Silvia Muro, focused on receptor-mediated targeting strategies for nanocarriers using multiple cell surface molecules.

His research interests include phase-shift nanoemulsions for solid tumor therapy, ultrasound-responsive colloids for cardiovascular disorders, and stimuli-responsive materials. Since joining the lab in 2013 for post-doctoral training, he has explored areas such as acoustics and image-guided drug delivery. His work bridges bioengineering and nanotechnology to address challenges in targeted therapy and biomedical applications.
