Jason Jackl

Jason Jackl is a Lecturer at San Francisco State University with a focus on African American literature, film studies, and social justice issues. His background includes a B.A. in English from UC Berkeley and an M.A. in Literature in English from SF State, along with certificates in Postsecondary Reading and Composition.

Jackl researches African American history and culture, with presentations on authors including Toni Morrison and Ishmael Reed. He is currently working on a critical analysis of Billy Wilder's film noir Double Indemnity. His interdisciplinary approach connects literary criticism with social justice frameworks.
