معرفی
Jason Hogan is an Associate Professor of Physics at Stanford University, specializing in Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics. He leads the Hogan Lab, which develops quantum sensors using ultracold strontium atoms for precision measurements and fundamental physics tests.
- Projects: Clock Atom Interferometry, Strontium Gradiometer (MAGIS Prototype), MAGIS-100
- Research Focus: Combining atomic clock precision with matter-wave interferometry to explore dark matter, gravitational waves, and quantum mechanics at macroscopic scales.
Scientific Contributions: MAGIS-100, a 100-meter-scale quantum sensor under construction at Fermilab, aims to detect ultralight dark matter and test quantum mechanics in unexplored regimes. The project involves collaborations with Stanford University, Fermilab, Northwestern University, and other institutions.
Funding: Supported by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation Grant GBMF7945 and the U.S. Department of Energy's QuantiSED Initiative.
