Jason Edward Tucker is a Researcher at the Institute for Futures Studies and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the AI Policy Lab, Department of Computing Science, Umeå University. He also holds a Visiting Research Fellow position at the AI & Society group, Department of Technology and Society, Lund University. His work bridges Artificial Intelligence, Global Governance, and Public Health.

Jason's research focuses on the global politics of AI, health policy, and technological marketization. He leads the WASP-HS-funded project Politics of AI & Health: From Snake Oil to Social Good, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to AI governance. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in Technological Change, Public Health, and Migration.
His recent publications analyze AI's impact on healthcare in Nordic states, datafication in policy, and agent-based simulations for health crises. These works reflect a consistent focus on transparency, participation, and equitable governance.
