Jason Charng is a Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Optometry at the University of Western Australia (UWA) and a Research Fellow at the Lions Eye Institute. His research focuses on retinal gene therapy assessments, epidemiology of eye diseases, and improving global eye care access. He holds dual appointments in academia and clinical research.
Education: PhD (2015, University of Melbourne), MPhil (2010, University of Melbourne), Bachelor of Optometry (2007, University of Melbourne). Professional affiliations include editorial roles at Clinical and Experimental Optometry and The Asia-Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology.
