Jason Burrow-Sanchez is a Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Utah, with a concurrent appointment as Adjunct Professor in Psychology. He holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon, an MA in Psychology from the University of the Pacific, and a BA in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara. Fluent in Spanish, his work bridges clinical psychology and public health.
His research examines risk/protective factors for adolescent substance use (e-cigarettes, cannabis, alcohol), cultural accommodation in treatment for Latino/a populations, and mental health stigma reduction. Key themes include:
